We spotted these geese sitting atop a mound of dirt under the Cedar Ave. bridge and were very curious if they could hatch their eggs sitting out in the open. Surprise we spotted the empty nest on May 6Th with broken eggs and guessed the goslings were history and then spotted the family just over the hill resting quietly.
It appears that every egg hatched with this brood on Picnic Island http://picasaweb.google.com/eakallas/20100514#5471302065117845282
